Demon Revealed High Demon Book 2 High Demon Series eBook Connie Suttle

Demon Revealed High Demon Book 2 High Demon Series eBook Connie Suttle
Through all of these books (and especially the third one) the "hero" is simply an abused woman who has no say over who she sleeps with or what she does. If a man wants her and says he loves her then he sleeps with her.She is no more than property and has no say in the matter.
It seems like it was written by someone raised in the kind of society where women are truly nothing but slaves.
When Reah's mother is raped they talk about how it was done to discredit the mother (because of course rape is the victim's fault).
All throughout book three, Reah is raped. She must do what Teeg says or else her good friend will be hurt or murdered. That is rape, yet she continues with the abused woman attitude and accepts it.
Every time a man abuses her in fact, it's always "her fault" and she just needs to understand. I'm waiting for more of the classic "baby, why did you make me hit you" lines.
The author's relentless abusive attitude and rape fantasies start to weigh very heavily after a while. It is difficult to read about abuse so much but really does seem to give insight into an abused mind. If you want to try and understand how an abused/raped woman thinks, then read these books but otherwise it's a difficult read.
At the same time there isn't enough character development that it really pulls you in. It's something of a dichotomy.

Demon Revealed High Demon Book 2 High Demon Series eBook Connie Suttle Reviews
(Spoilers) I cant get enough of Ms. Suttle's writing. In this book Reah is thrust back into danger as per her contract with the ASD. In this story we find lovers, make friends, and we find lots of potential futures even one that us would least expect ...some one say king? It does make me upset that she doesn't tell them all to go to *u know where * but that is what makes the book so great she is so nice (reminds me of my alter ego). I love your books Ms. Suttle, keep up the awesome work... I will be sitting on edge for ur next book.
This book continues from the first of the series, the heroine is still developing her powers and learning to use them. This book had me hooked from the beginning, and I just could not put it down! She learns to fight along the men around to kill off the monsters that want to take over, and as time goes by her powers get stronger and stronger. She find she can turn into a beautiful golden creature that can fight evil and protect those around her. The books in this series are action packed and leave you wanting more. I felt all the emotions she felt, any book that can make me feel is a great book to me.
The saga continues and it is action packed. I enjoy reading how Reah's fighting and supernatural skills mature amazing every one around her.
It is getting annoying that she takes so much crap from the men in her life. They seem to only want "one thing".
I do want to see what happens and I am already on book 5, but unfortunately the trend of people treating her like crap continues. It is getting annoying and really doesn't make much sense, but I am enjoying the story and hopefully there is a reason for all this that will come out soon.
Reah is thrown into action once again from the begining. This book has so many twists ands turns, ups and downs that you better put on a seat belt. Noiran and Lendil are right there on my s#*% list which is getting pretty full with Griffin, vampire Wlodek, the un-name person from this book. Oh Reah you are always getting stuck in the thick of things. I was worried for you being caught as a spy. One day I really hope you get to start kicking ass and go High Demon on their butts but you had your wings clipped this time. Lendil keeps screwing up and I really don't want Reah to forgive him ever. Connie, Thank you for having such a wonderful imagination I can't wait for the next book. Boy oh boy can you do cliffhangers.
I found this book to be great, just as I have all of the others by this Author. She has an imagination that makes all of her characters believable and the worlds real by writing in such detail that you can just 'see' the places where the book takes place. She has such a talent and if you have not read her work in the past, then you have have really missed out.
From the time I started the book until I completed it, I couldn't put it down unless I absolutely HAD to.
I'm waiting for someone to notice that there is a great talent here whose work should be made into film. I would LOVE to see the special effects that would be used in producing this and other books by Connie Suttle when transferred to film....SOMEBODY, please look at making these books into movies!!!!!! I would go see every single one!!!
I think this series has potential but the main character is Leah who is this kick butt take names later female. She takes so much CRAP from men!!! It is just not believable to me. She is this awesome Demon Warrior who lets men kick her around like she has no value. Also, I have to agree with everyone else.. "Whats with all the cooking inspired best chef in the universe" it is too Eccentric!! I think I will not be reading the next installment. There are too many characters to keep up with. Every man falls in love with Reah and she takes them as a lover/husband/mate whatever...It is all good if you like this sort of book. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!!!
Oh my goodness the twist and turn in this book left me speechless. Just when I thought Reah has found a few people she could trust and love they slip away from her and leave her worse than before. I have read this series quite a few times a my heart is still thumping and breaking throughout this book! Love this authors writing and world building.
